We just installed a web cam in the shop.  Take a look at what we do.  It was installed as an intrusion device but it has some features that would make it a good surveillance device.  High res, low current draw and wireless pan/tilt capability. http://63.231.15.250

Currently testing a short-range 900 mhz transmitter that operates at about 90kbs directly from an SD card.  Plenty of options to send text, images or just stuff.  About 2" square and draws a few milliamps.

We have a pattern recognition algorithm that does all the imaging work normally associated with a motion detector.  Apply some rules like size, volume, direction, position or dwell and it will only grab images that you define.  High res images too.  None of this video stuff.  We grab 1kx1k.

Power problems got you down?  Try our Fuel Cell.  We churn out 40 amps per liter of methanol.  It's light-weight and a snap to operate.  We can leave this thing to dispense 3 amps for over a week of continuous duty.  Try that with a skid of lead acid batteries!
